"That is, without a doubt, the worst pirate I have ever seen."

When I was little, I walked on my tip-toes and tried my best to avoid walking barefoot on the grass. I was a bit of a priss (and still am!) I do not eat fish, nor do I so much as dip my toes in the Jersey shore water. So you can imagine everyone's surprise when I declared that I was moving to a Caribbean island. This journal is to document my significant (and not so significant) encounters and experiences, as well as record my imminent culture shock. I hope you find my reflections enjoyable and, in all probability, comical. Yo ho!

Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

I know, it's been over a month since my last post. I am back on mainland, and I've written so much in the past few weeks, but need some time to edit it all. Pictures will have to suffice for now!

Just an update: I'm back in NJ and was hired almost immediately as low-man-on-the-totem-pole for a company that works with the military and their stores. It's cold as &*#% here, and the snow is off and on and off and on again. My tan has faded a bit, but my yearning for the sun and the sand has not.

Never fails... I'm always going to dream about being on an island if I'm not on one. :)

Until all the editing actually occurs...

You know you love me,
